Job Summary:

• This is a customer-facing, revenue generating role that requires in depth technical consulting skills and experience
• Design and implementation of Enterprise Storage Solutions and Supporting Virtualization Technologies, VMware and Hyper-V 
• Assist with providing management and support of core Dell, HP, VMware, Microsoft, Symantec, CommVault, Cisco, SonicWall and F10 Technologies 

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with clients to determine requirements;
• Working with clients to define the scope of a project;
• Planning timescales and the resources needed;
• Clarifying a client's system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business;
• Travelling to customer sites;
• Liaising with staff at all levels of a client organisation;
• Defining software, hardware and network requirements;
• Analysing IT requirements within companies and giving independent and objective advice on the use of IT;
• Developing agreed solutions and implementing new systems;
• Presenting solutions in written or oral reports;
• Helping clients with change-management activities;
• Purchasing systems where appropriate;
• Designing, testing, installing and monitoring new systems;
• Preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customers;
• Organising training for users and other consultants;
• Being involved in sales and support, and where appropriate, maintaining contact with client organisations;
• Identifying potential clients and building and maintaining contacts.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Several years of experience in a senior level consulting role with experience that covers HP/ 3Par, Dell Storage (e.g. Compellent), NetAPP Technologies 
• 5 years of VMware experience with VCP, VSP and/?or VTSP certifications preferred
• MCITP/ MCSE certified with a solid background in the design and deployment of Microsoft AD, Exchange and other core solutions 
• Networking and storage experience, including NFS, ISCSI and FC                                                                        A sound understanding of SonicWall, F10 and Cisco switches, routers and firewalls 
• Additional experience with Citrix and/?or Symantec or CommVault Solutions would be of benefit 
• A proven ability to engage in technical pre-sales, as well the preparation complex technical solutions and client facing proposals & documentation 
• Demonstrable project management experience
• Experience in Technical Consultant with broad experience in Enterprise Storage and Server Virtualization.
